Training Requirements
General Induction
The induction also covers emergency procedures, health and safety policies, and specific responsibilities related to the individual’s role.
All new hires undergo a comprehensive induction program with an overview of the club’s operations, culture, policies, and procedures.
Safeguarding
Refresher training is conducted every two years or whenever there is a significant change in legislation or club policy.

All staff and volunteers must undergo mandatory safeguarding training to understand their roles and responsibilities in protecting children and vulnerable adults.
First Aid
Certifications must be renewed by the guidelines the certifying body provides, typically every three years.
All coaching staff must complete a certified First Aid course that includes CPR and an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
Sport-Specific Certifications
The club supports and funds ongoing professional development in coaching, including attending seminars, workshops, and courses relevant to boxing.
Sport-specific training includes technical and tactical coaching education, athlete development models, and competition rules.
Coaches must hold current certifications from relevant governing bodies like England Boxing.
Health and Safety
Regular updates are provided through workshops or e-learning modules to ensure compliance with current health and safety standards.
Training on health and safety regulations relevant to the sports and recreation sector, focusing on risk assessment and injury prevention.
Record Keeping
Records are regularly reviewed to ensure all staff are updated with training requirements.
The club maintains a training record for each staff member and volunteer, including details of all training courses attended, certificates obtained, and completion dates.
Assessment and Evaluation
Adjustments are made to training programs based on feedback and the evolving needs of the club and its members.
The effectiveness of training programs is regularly assessed through evaluations, participant feedback, and performance reviews.
